# prompt · generate a skin

Paste `skins/_schema.md` and one existing skin (say `skins/seventies.css`) into the model, then this:

---

You are writing a skin for register.css, a stylesheet for pages that show their work. A skin is one CSS block, `[data-skin="{{name}}"] { … }`, that sets only the tokens listed in the schema. It cannot add components or change the grammar.

Mood: {{mood}}
(examples: "1980s Japanese consumer electronics manual", "Bauhaus exhibition catalog", "NASA mission patch", "a Victorian seed catalog", "Swiss railway timetable")

Produce two things.

1. `skins/{{name}}.css`
   - A comment header with the image brief in exactly these seven lines: mood, palette (5–6 named hexes), series (4 hexes), materials, composition, type feel, avoid. Under 120 words.
   - One `@import` for the fonts, from Google Fonts, at most three families. Do not use Inter, Space Grotesk, Instrument Serif, Geist, Syne, or Fraunces.
   - The `[data-skin="{{name}}"]` block. Set every color token, both faces and the display and label parameters, radius, lines, shadow, space, motion. Meet every contrast constraint in the schema; state the ratios you checked in a trailing comment.
   - If the paper is dark, make `--deep` a light block and set the `--deep-*` tokens to dark-on-light.

2. A three-sentence note on what the skin keeps from the default (it must keep: the register column, hairline structure, lowercase or spaced-caps labels, color as data, no gradients) and what it changes.

Do not invent components. Do not write any selector other than `[data-skin="{{name}}"]`.
